KPV
No human trial evidence exists that we could locate — everything published is rodent or cell-culture work. That it was nonetheless one of the peptides recommended by FDA's own advisory committee for compounding eligibility in 2026 is worth knowing, but a compounding recommendation is not evidence the product works in people.

What it is
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), studied for anti-inflammatory activity that appears to work independently of melanocortin receptors — unlike the parent hormone — likely via inhibiting IL-1β signaling.
What the evidence actually shows
Published research on KPV is preclinical: rodent colitis models and in vitro work showing anti-inflammatory effects (PMID 12750433). We did not find a single published human clinical trial of KPV for any indication.
The 2026 regulatory recommendation
At the same July 2026 FDA advisory committee meeting, KPV was recommended — alongside BPC-157 and TB-500, 8-6 with one abstention — for Category 1/503A eligibility, with wound healing and inflammatory conditions cited as the proposed uses under review. Worth stating plainly: a committee recommending compounding eligibility is not the same thing as human efficacy evidence existing — the same distinction this site draws on BPC-157's own page.
What this means for buyers
This is a case where the regulatory conversation has moved faster than the human evidence base — real committee attention and real proposed clinical uses under discussion, and still no human trial to point to.
