Why this exists
Interest in peptides has risen faster than reliable information about them. Search volume for "how to get peptides" rose more than tenfold in a year. Meanwhile a widely cited figure, traced to 2024 testing data from an independent lab (Janoshik Analytical), holds that 43% of submitted peptide samples failed to meet their own label's purity claim — a figure worth treating as an order-of-magnitude warning about the market rather than a precise industry-wide statistic, since it draws on a self-selected pool of submitted samples reported via secondary coverage, not a report we've located published directly by the lab itself.
The result is a market where buyers cannot tell what is in the bottle, and where most of the writing that comes up in search is produced by someone with a product to move. We think the gap is worth filling properly.
Who writes it
The Peptide Record is written and edited by a small independent team. We are not doctors, and we don't pretend to be — what we do is read the primary literature carefully, report what it says and doesn't say, and show our working.
Author names and credentials appear on each page as pages are published. We think anonymous health writing is part of the problem, so where a page carries no named author yet, it says so rather than hiding behind a house byline.
Clinical review
Pages covering safety, interactions or anything clinical are reviewed by an appropriately qualified professional before publication, and the reviewer is named on the page with their credentials and the review date.
At present, no page on this site has completed clinical review. Pages that haven't are marked as such at the top. We'd rather tell you that than let a review block look like it's been done.
