Epitalon
No — there is no controlled human trial showing epitalon lengthens telomeres or extends life in people. What exists is one laboratory cell-culture study from 2003, from a single research group, that hasn't been independently reproduced with a human clinical endpoint.

What it is
Epitalon (epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) — the synthetic version of "epithalamin," a pineal-gland peptide extract studied for decades by Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology.
What the evidence actually shows
The foundational and most-cited study found that epithalon increased telomerase catalytic-subunit expression and extended telomere length in cultured human fetal fibroblasts — a laboratory dish finding (Khavinson, Bondarev & Butyugov, Bull Exp Biol Med 2003;135(6):590-592, PMID 12937682). That is not a study in living people, and no controlled human trial has since measured telomere length, biological age, or any clinical outcome after epitalon administration.
Regulatory status
Not approved as a drug anywhere. FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee reviewed epitalon at its 23-24 July 2026 meeting, alongside BPC-157, TB-500 and others, and recommended it for possible Category 1 status — a recommendation, not an approval, and not evidence of efficacy. What's marketed vs. what's shown
Sold widely for anti-aging, sleep and immune claims. We were not able to locate a published human trial testing any of them. The gap between "a lab found a cell-culture effect in 2003" and "this reverses aging in you" is the single most important thing to know before buying it.
